Welcome to Stardust Store ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Android application and related services.

By using Stardust Store, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the application.

Stardust Store is built with privacy in mind. We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the application.

2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Profile Information — Display name, username, bio, and profile picture you set within the app.
• Wishlist — Apps you have added to your personal wishlist.
• Download History — Apps you have previously downloaded through the store.
• Theme Preference — Whether you use Light or Dark mode.
• Review Logs — A local record of reviews you have submitted.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling the application.

• Display apps and their details — to show app information, screenshots, and metadata.
• Rank apps — to sort apps by popularity, downloads, and trending status.
• Show your reviews — to display your reviews and ratings to other users.
• Personalize your experience — to remember your theme preference, wishlist, and profile.
• Enable downloads and installations — to fetch, download, and hand off APK files to Android's package installer.
• Improve the service — to understand which apps and features are most used.

Stardust Store requests the following Android permissions. Each permission is used only for its stated purpose:

5.1 Local Storage

Your profile, wishlist, download history, and theme preference are stored only on your device using Android's local storage mechanisms. This data is never uploaded to our servers.

5.2 Network Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Download URLs are validated as HTTPS before any file is fetched. We reject non-secure (HTTP) connections.

5.3 APK Integrity

When available, we verify downloaded APK files against their published SHA-256 hashes to detect tampering or corruption.

5.4 No User Accounts

Stardust Store does not require account registration, passwords, or email addresses. There is nothing for us to protect because we simply do not collect it.

Stardust Store uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate. Each service is described below:

6.1 Firebase Realtime Database

Provided by Google. Used to store the app catalog (app names, descriptions, screenshots, download URLs) and user-submitted reviews and ratings. Data stored in Firebase is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6.2 ImgBB

Used to host images that you optionally attach to app reviews. Images uploaded to ImgBB are subject to ImgBB's Privacy Policy. You are never required to attach images to reviews.

6.3 Android System Services

Downloads and APK installations are handled by Android's own system components. The Android Package Installer is invoked for all installations.

Stardust Store is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because Stardust Store does not require account creation and stores personal data only on your own device, there is no mechanism for us to collect or store information about any user, including children.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the app (for example, via a review), please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

You have full control over the information associated with your use of Stardust Store:

• Access — All data stored on your device is directly visible to you within the app.
• Deletion — You can clear all locally stored data at any time via your device's Settings → Apps → Stardust Store → Storage → Clear Data.
• Wishlist Control — You can add or remove apps from your wishlist at any time.
• Review Removal — You may request removal of your submitted reviews by contacting us.
• Uninstall — Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, applicable law, or industry best practices. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
• Notify you within the app if the change is significant.

We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your privacy. Continued use of Stardust Store after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
